Grant workshops with Innovate’s Knowledge Transfer Network

Throughout May, Granted Consultancy are teaming up with Innovate UK’s  Knowledge Transfer Network to help deliver a series of grant workshops.

The Grant Application Workshops will take place at Durham University, Oxford University and Herriot-Watt in Edinburgh and are aimed at Owners and Directors of ambitious businesses with an innovative idea or product.

Applying for a grant often requires a significant investment of time to put forward a compelling case. Yet grants can be a real enabler in realising innovative ideas and supporting business growth

At the grant workshop you will learn how to effectively structure information clearly and concisely for Innovate UK applications, as well as other grant programmes.

You’’ll also discover how to make your grant funding application stand out from the crowd, what key elements make a successful grant application and will leave armed with the knowledge and information you need to create a compelling grant application for new innovative products or services.

The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) is Innovate UK’s network partner whose mission is to drive UK growth.

Granted Consultancy Director Tom Kennard confirmed:

“Although the UK is recognised globally as an innovator, the country has a relatively poor reputation for successfully commercialising its innovations.

In an attempt to address this, the UK’s public funding has prioritised funding for the commercialisation of innovative, British-science backed products and services. The government’s policy on grant funding has pivoted towards small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) with the aim of making the UK the world’s most innovative nation by 2030.

Our mission is to support these innovative SME’s in their quest for grant funding and so we are delighted to be working with Innovate UK and the Knowledge Transfer Network in helping businesses secure the funding they deserve. If you head up an innovative business we suggest you attend one of these unique events to gain the knowledge you need to create a compelling grant application.”
