BV Dairy employs an excess of 120 people and has its own chilled distribution fleet supplying an extensive range of fresh products from their factory to premium food manufacturing locations. These products are destined to be found in all the major multiples, foodservice sector and some of the UK’s finest pub and restaurant meals. BV Dairy has put an emphasis on technology and automation to drive the business forward and to bring new products to market.
BV Dairy had identified a significant project – installation of automated production capabilities to expand and develop operating capacity whilst reducing process waste and increasing yield percentage, commencing with installation of new production buildings, intake bays and smart mixing technology. This technology is expensive and, if 100% self-funded, would mean delays in other projects and recruitment.
BV Dairy were successful in securing £400,000 of grant funding from RDPE (Rural Development Programme for England). This will enable them to increase productivity and keep up with the high demand for their products.
